Fall 2011 Stock competition

This is a free competition open to University System of Maryland Students, Faculty, Staff and to the Alumni of the Honors College. The simulation is modeled after the one used in Dr. Wish’s highly popular HONORS seminar on the stock market. Registration is open between September 9 and October 9.

Trading begins on October 3 and ends December 2, 2011. Space is limited, so be sure to register early. SOME RULES HAVE CHANGED FROM THE SPRING 2011 CONTEST. Please review both the trading rules and the contest specific Prizes and Prize Eligibility before registering for the challenge.

The UMD College of Behavioral and Social Sciences and the Honors College are proud to present the Stock Market Challenge. Designed for all skill levels, you will learn about the stock market and expand your financial literacy by participating in the www.forum.UMDSMC.com  and accessing the many Maryland Helpful Financial Websites.

So go ahead and demonstrate your financial prowess in this fun-filled competition. Cash prizes will be awarded to top earners during an awards ceremony in December, so get prepared and sharpen your skills by attending the UMDSMC Orientation Webinar on September 27 at 3pm.
